Gaming Briefs Wearing Boxers Dec 10th, 2025
Just wanted to get a couple of stories out of the way before the Game Awards on the 11th. Something I’ll watch the same way people watch the Super Bowl: Mainly for the advertisements.
The damn Statue people won’t shut
the hell up about (though we have an answer to that thanks to filings,
probably.) We’ve had all sorts of theories, even down to Devolver taking Credit
for it… Nor is it the Balatro 1.1 update, much to everyone’s sadness. I’m still
betting on it being a New Postal, and I am Never wrong. Reality just disagrees
from time to time.
I don’t wanna call it sad news necessarily, as he’s had such a long and legendary career, but Tekken’s Kastuhiro Harada announce he is leaving Bandai Namco at the end of 2025, so the very last second announcement.
| Statement from the Tekken account on X. |
In his post on X, Harada-san goes
on about his experiences from being face to face with players in arcades in
small tournaments to have them Tekken (“Please Try Tekken” says in the post)
and being treated like a friend and challenger by players throughout that
connection.
His motivation seems to come from
wanting to use his younger years he has left to branch out on his own after
watching many of his friends and colleagues retire or pass in some cases.
I am saddened at his parting from
the Tekken series, but excited to see what he may do next.
Gamestop had their own awards… the
day before the one people are interested in, but with a lot of surprises,
mainly in who they had giving out the awards: From Angy Video Game Nerd, James
Rolfe, Casey Neistat, Jason Mewes (Snooch to the motherfuckin Nooch), Scott the
Woz, and the nerds at Mega64, to outright stealing Best Buy sales rep Riley, it
was a fun aside before the big show tomorrow.
Lastly, Capcom tests my patience
and hope by announcing they plan to make Mega Man into a Core IP Like they their
other major titles, according to Culture Crave. With Giancarlo Volpe offering his services in running the brand. Dear god imagine a Mega Man movie now that the Video Game Movie curse has been broken.

Pragmata confirmed a Mega Man Game,
despite them repeatedly saying its not. I DON’T CARE CAPCOM. I SAID IT IS.
Alright, that’s out of the way, Expect
my opinions on the Game Awards WORLD PREMIERES In the next couple of days.
“Man finding he still had last
shred of hope for Mega Man games,” out for now.
